Public Prosecution Service The Hague starts inquiry into death Praljak

The Public Prosecution Service The Hague will start an inquiry into the death today of the accused Slobodan Praljak. During a session of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) mr. Praljak swallowed something and died possibly of the consequences.

The Public Prosecution Service The Hague has received a request of the ICTY to investigate the death of Praljak. For the time being the inquiry will focus on assisted suicide and violation of the Medicines Act.

As the inquiry has just started, the Public Prosecution Service The Hague can not comment any further on the matter.
