Open Government Act

The Open Government Act governs your right to information from the government. Government information is public, unless the act or other legislation stipulates that the requested information is not suitable for disclosure. This applies, for example, to documents submitted to a criminal court.

You can submit an Open Government Act request. This is a request for documents on a specific subject to be made public. Once the request has been processed, the (anonymised) request, the response (decision) and the documents are made public on: decisions made public

Open Government Act requests can be submitted via this link: Open Government Act

Complaints

If you want to lodge a complaint with the Public Prosecution Service because you feel that you are not treated as it should, you can send a letter to the postal address of the Amsterdam office or send an email to: burgercontact-fp@om.nl.
Please note: this concerns complaints relating to proceedings brought by the National Office for Financial Crime, Environmental Crime and Asset Recovery. It does not concern an appeal against a legal decision by the Public Prosecution Service.

Rights of data subjects

If you want to submit a request to access, amend or delete personal data, for example, under the GDPR and/or the Judicial Data and Criminal Records Act, you can send your request to the postal address of the Amsterdam office or send an email to: burgercontact-fp@om.nl.
